After listening to the homie Sean C Johnson's "MLMX" track off the Simply a Vessel Vol3: Surrender All album. I felt inspired to write and create a record giving my perspective and somehow pick up where Sean left off. So, I thought it would only be right to get Sean and Apocalyptic on the track with me. Additional inspiration for the record came from this organization that I used to be apart of called Youth For Christ/Impact, which is lead by Kadence and also Sean C Johnson is a member of as well. In this organization we have the privilege of mentoring (Speaking Life into the kids as well as The Gospel) to inner city high-school students every week at the school and outside of school. That's a Revolution in itself! Then I figured I could reach out and get a featured appearance from another homie that I have mad respect for, Double which he is apart of a similar organization in the ATL called City Takers. Then I sealed the joint with a powerful 16 bars from the homie Kadence which he produced the track as well. I went to Kadence with this Big Daddy Kane sample, "Young, Gifted & Black, which has always been one of my favorite tracks by the Brooklynite! And the rest is history. Ultimately I hope to encourage and challenge the listener to be more open-minded and creative on the approach in reaching this generation!
